Settling-in walk with an escort, rope work exercises to develop balance and coordination skills.

The first riding lesson begins with a 5-10 minute walk, during which the rider is encouraged to remain completely relaxed in order to get used to the saddle position, the horse's movements and body balance. This is followed by a series of instructions for correcting the riding position and exercises to develop confidence and balance.

Afterwards, under the instructor's careful guidance, simple exercises are performed: hand on the hip, hand sideways, arm rolls, stroking (bending down and stroking the horse on the chest or back) - to develop balance, confidence and the ability to interact with the horse.

Full initiation session - Duration: 45 minutes

Includes a complete set of exercises and activities for horseback riding initiation, including preparation for going out in varied terrain.

The sessions will be tailored to suit each rider's individual goals, with the possibility of a relaxed low-medium intensity session, and for those wishing to advance, the sessions will be of increased intensity allowing for a faster progression to intermediate/advanced and then performance modes.

Riding lessons include, at the beginning, practicing simple exercises - hand on hip, hand sideways, arm circles, stroking (bending down and stroking the horse on the chest or back).

These are all aimed at developing balance, confidence and the ability to interact with the horse. This involves learning to understand the horse and its language of communication, both on the ground and on horseback.

Subsequently, the ability to coordinate, synchronize and maintain balance is increasingly trained through exercises such as: trunk arm rolls, front-back bends, exercises to develop the instinct to squeeze from the knees, balance exercises kneeling on the saddle, gymnastic exercises with the volleys, etc.

Riding for children

For children up to 4 years of age, the first steps towards getting to know the horses are recommended by visiting the horses accompanied by their parents.

During these familiarization visits, children learn to get closer to the horses, to interact with them and to cultivate a sense of confidence in their own strengths, as well as trust in the horse's ability to understand and listen.

As in any type of relationship, it takes patience to observe and learn their body language. Horses have very clear body signals, they communicate exactly what they feel. Those who manage to understand them will enjoy a beautiful bond with horses, based on respect and trust.

For children aged 7-9 years, the lesson includes a complete set of balance and coordination exercises with moderate intensity. The instructor also focuses on adapting the child's behavior in the presence of the horses and educating the child on how to approach the horses.

For children aged 9+, the exercises become more complex. The ability to coordinate, synchronize and maintain balance is increasingly trained through exercises such as: trunk arm circles, face-back bending with light stroking and tapping of the horse, exercises to develop the instinct to squeeze from the knees, balance exercises kneeling on the saddle, gymnastic exercises with the volleys, etc.

Children above this level have the possibility to progress to the Intermediate and Advanced work modes, preparatory to the performance level.
