Collage workshop, personal development in Bucharest

Re:compose is an analog collage workshop dedicated to creative exploration through manual techniques and recycled materials. Participants are invited to disconnect from the digital environment and reconnect with their own emotions and ideas, using paper, textures, colors, and cut-out images. The artistic process thus becomes a means of introspection, personal expression, and relaxation, in a setting that encourages spontaneity and collaboration.

The workshop promotes sustainability and well-being through tactile art and direct interaction. Each work created within Re:compose is a visual manifesto, a composition that reflects individual thoughts, states, and perspectives. Through analog collage, participants discover the joy of creating with their hands, transforming forgotten objects into visual messages, and building bridges between memory, the present, and imagination.

Re:compose: analog collage workshop

The analog collage workshop is a space dedicated to the freedom to express yourself visually, beyond any rules, expectations, or perfection. It is an encounter with yourself and others through a simple and poetic language: cutting, pasting, composing, and recomposing fragments of images and text. We will be inspired by the playful, intuitive, liberating spirit of the Dadaists, and we will create from pieces of magazines, old books, or other printed materials, giving them a new life. Analog collage art is a form of creative recycling, but also a form of introspection: each visual choice becomes a gesture of sincerity towards one's own emotions and thoughts. The workshop offers a peaceful setting where participants are invited to enjoy a digital detox and reconnect with the material world of paper, colors, and textures. It doesn't matter if you've done this before or not, collage is for anyone who is curious to play and see things differently. After the creative process, we will talk about our collages. This moment functions as a small collective ritual of introspection and connection: an opportunity to listen, share, and observe how images can become a common language. The workshop takes place in a small group of 6 to 12 people to maintain intimacy and attention for each participant.

Duration: 2.5 hours

All materials are included — magazines, paper, glue, cardboard, scissors, and other visual surprises.

Each participant will later receive a selection of professional photos taken during the workshop.
