Via Ferrata - An experience that brings you closer to nature

The Via ferrata route from Vadu Crisului - Crisului Repede Gorge is a spectacular route that offers an extraordinary view over the valley and the gorge walls.

It is a rather difficult route that addresses people who have already done via ferrata routes or who are accompanied by guides.
Between the localities of Șuncuiuș and Vadu Crișului, on a distance of 3km, the most imposing part of the gorge developed. The walls are mostly straight, rocky and have heights of up to 100m. This area of ​​the gorge is located in the Craiului Forest mountains, a subunit of the Apuseni Mountains.

The via ferrata routes have the advantage that they are less difficult than the mountaineering ones and can be covered by amateur tourists who do not have to have advanced technical knowledge
The via ferrata route from Vadu Crisului is found in a rocky cliff of about 100m called the Fairy Wall. The route is arranged with metal cables for securing and with metal clamps to be able to climb easily.
The layout is quite comfortable. But there are also more difficult passages where each participant in the tour will have to use their own strength to overcome overhanging passages.

Mandatory equipment: helmet, climbing / climbing harness, via ferrata. If you do not have special carabinieri for via ferrata, you can also use carabiners with pear type.

Be careful, the carabiner must be large enough to fit the metal cable mounted on the rock.
Also pay attention to the type of shoes you take on the route. We recommend using 3-season boots with a rock-soled sole.
For hand protection you can take gloves with you. Hydration and nutrition: take water and sweets with you.
